Embedding the Library in Canvas

Embedding Videos from Kanopy

Step 1: From the Library's list of databases, scroll down to the bottom of the page to find Kanopy under the Streaming Videos section.

Step 2: Click on the LOG IN button on the top right corner of the page

Step 3: You must be logged in to your Kanopy account in order to view videos, create playlists, and clips. Choose Don't have an account yet? Get Started in the top right corner and fill out the form using your MyVCCCD to create your account. Alternatively, if you've already created an account, log in with your MyVCCCD credentials. 

Step 4: Search or browse Kanopy to find a video to embed into Canvas and click on the Share button under the selected video

Step 5: Click on the Embed button under the video player and copy the embed code

Step 6: Navigate to your Canvas page where you want to embed the video and click on the Embed button

Step 7: Paste the embed code that you copied from the video you selected in Kanopy and press Submit

Step 8: Press Save
