A guide to citing according to the MLA 8th edition

What you will need

To cite a magazine, journal or newspaper article from an online database, provide the following:

  1. The author of the article
  2. Title of the article in quotes
  3. Name of the journal, magazine or newspaper italicized
  4. Date of publication
  5. page number (s) when available
  6. Name of the database italicized
  7. URL or DOI
