A guide to citing according to the MLA 8th edition

What you will need

To cite items found on the web, provide the following information:

  1. The author if available, if not, start with the title.
  2. Title of the article or the page in quotes
  3. Name of the website italicized
  4. Name of he publisher if it differs from the name of the website
  5. Date the page was published or updated
  6. The URL (omit the http// or https//)
  7. "Date of access (optional). Check with your professor."
