Library Guide for Faculty & Staff During Campus Closure

This guide is for faculty & staff who are off campus and need guidance on accessing library resources at Moorpark College during the COVID-19 closure.

eBooks

All eBooks that come up in your search results will be noted with Available Online. 

Type your subject or title into OneSearch (the Library's Catalog) from the library's homepage. The search results include both print and electronic items.

To limit your search results to Books only, click on the Resource Type link on the left side bar and choose Books.

Select the title by clicking on the title or the Available Online link. You will be taken to the complete record. The display record includes a link to the full text and detailed information about the item.

In this example, to open the book, click on the NetLibrary, Inc. link and you will access the digital content for the item. (Note: if you are accessing this title from off-campus, you will be prompted to login to your MyVCCCD account). To access a specific chapter simply click on the chapter's title. To access the entire book, click on the PDF Full Text.

Placing Holds

Step 1: Go to www.moorparkcollege.edu

Step 2: Selecting "Menu" will open an alphabetized list.

Step 3: Enter the title or keywords for the item you want.

Step 4: Select the appropriate print title that fits your search.

Step 5: The item's full information will open when selected. You will need to sign in using the sign in button under the "Get It" section.

Step 6: Sign in using your MyVCCCD credentials. If you get an error, please contact the library at 805-378-1450.

Step 7: When you are signed in to MyVCCCD you will see a "Request" button appear in the "Get It" section of the item information.

Step 8: The request window will open and allow you to add optional comments before sending your request.

Step 9: You've done it! After your request has been placed you will receive a notification email when the item is ready for pickup as well as instructions on how to do so. If you have any questions about this process please call us at 805-378-1450.
