This guide is for students taking online classes at Moorpark College

Hold Pickup Information

The Moorpark College Library offers a Holds Pickup service. You may place holds on items in the Main Collection and the Textbook Lending Program through our catalog to be picked up at the library. Semester loans for laptops, hotspots, and Textbook Lending Program books are due by the last day of finals.

We offer pick up times Monday-Friday when the library is open. The library hours are listed below.

Please wait until you receive an email notice from us that says your item is ready for pickup. This notice will have important pickup information for you.

You may also come in without placing a request on an item, but please check availability on the library catalog linked above or by contacting us via the information below.

Placing Holds in the Catalog

Step 1: Go to www.moorparkcollege.edu/library and enter the title or keywords for the item you want and choose Search.

Step 2: Select the appropriate print title that fits your search. *Please note that course reserves are not available for hold pickup.

Step 3: The item's full information will open when selected. You will need to sign in using the sign in button under the "Get It" section.

Step 4: Sign in using your MyVCCCD credentials. If you get an error, please contact the library at 805-378-1450.

Step 5: When you are signed in to MyVCCCD you will see a "Request" button appear in the "Get It" section of the item information. *Please note that course reserves are not available for hold pickup. If the item location information says "Reserves," the "Request" button will not display.

Step 6: The request window will open and allow you to add optional comments before sending your request.

Step 7: You've done it! After your request has been placed you will receive a notification email when the item is ready for pickup as well as instructions on how and when to do so.
