English1C. Bryant: Find Books/eBooks

General guide for conducting research for English 1C

Library Catalog

The Library Catalog is the place to go to find books, eBooks, and other materials (Music CDs, books on CDs and videos [VHS & DVD]) owned by the Moorpark College Library. You can also use it to find out if the Library subscribes to a particular journal or newspaper. The Library Catalog is available via the Moorpark College Library’s “Library Resources page and via the “Library & Learning Resources” tab on the MyVCCCD website.

If you can't find what you need at Moorpark College, we can get it from another library. Check the Interlibrary Loan FAQs page for additional information.

If your book is held by Oxnard College or Ventura College libraries, you may be able to borrow it directly by following the instructions in the document. Check the Interlibrary Loan FAQs for additional information.

Finding a book in the library

Use the Moorpark College Library catalog to search for books, ebooks, CDs, and DVDs.

1) Type your search words into the top box.

2) When you get your results, click on the “Locations” tab to retrieve the Call Number for a Book/DVD/CD in the MC library.

Status of Item

  • Not Charged = Available
  • Charged = Currently Checked Out

3) Write down the call number and find the two letter combination on the shelves:

  • (A-HT 2nd floor, HQ-Z 3rd floor)

4) Still can't find it? Come to the reference desk to ask the librarian for assistance.

Checking Out Books in the Library

You will need your student ID number (900 number) to check out library materials. Simply take your materials to the circulation desk (pictured above) for checkout. Circulation Desk Photo
