Student Guide to the Library: Doing Research - Online Resources

A guide to library services for students

How do I access the library's online resources?

To access the library’s online resources, go to the Moorpark College homepage, hover over the Quick Links tab, and select Library from the drop-down menu.  From the library homepage, click on the large Library Resources button; then click on the green eResources Subject List button, and select your database.  These online materials include collections of books and periodical articles which can be printed, saved, or emailed from your workstation.  Online materials may also include audio files or video clips.  The library’s online resources are also available off campus by logging into your my.vcccd page.  From your page, click on the “Library & Learning Resources” tab; then click on the “Library Resources” button on the left side of the page.

How do I know which online resource is best for my research needs?

If you are on campus, you can save valuable time by asking at the Reference Desk.  If you are off campus, you can call the reference librarian at (805) 378-1472 or email them at  They can advise on selecting and assist you in using the databases.
