Selected Websites on Technology & Humanity

Here are a few resources related to your possible topics:

The VergeThe Verge was founded in 2011 in partnership with Vox Media, and covers the intersection of technology, science, art, and culture. Its mission is to offer in-depth reporting and long-form feature stories, breaking news coverage, product information, and community content in a unified and cohesive manner. The site is powered by Vox Media's Chorus platform, a modern media stack built for web-native news in the 21st century.

Wired: Wired magazine reports on how emerging technologies affect culture, the economy and politics.

All Things Digital: AllThingsD.com is a Web site devoted to news, analysis and opinion on technology, the Internet and media.

Engadget: Engadget is a news, reviews and opinion outlet with obsessive coverage of cutting edge gadgets, consumer electronics and the science and technology they're built upon.

 - Boy Genius Report (http://bgr.com/) : Weblog that delivers mobile and technology breaking news, reviews, insights and opinions.

Lots of Information with Commentary and Opinion Pieces (and some stuff that’s just plain silly)

- Boing Boing (http://boingboing.net/) : Boing Boing is the web's favorite zine devoted to the weird, wonderful and wicked things to be found in technology and culture. Independent for nearly 25 years, it publishes a daily mix of short articles, long features, and video productions. Note from Danielle : some of this is a little “left of center” (treat it more like a blog) but it features pieces by major figures in technology and the sci fi crowd.

- Gizmodo (http://gizmodo.com/ ) : Design and technology blog with lots of fun snippet stories and commentary. More lighthearted but discusses a lot of relevant issues (and some “not-so-relevant”) that students can relate to.
